Gympanzees is an award winning organisation that provide leisure center activities for children and young people with disabilities in the United Kingdom. They won the Award for Entrepreneur for Good, at the Natwest Great British Entrepreneur Awards this year.

“Our Vision is that every disabled child and young person in the UK can enjoy a life filled with exercise, play and friendship”

My background before my Fibromyalgia was in the childcare sector. The last six years of my career I worked within special needs. It was a job I always wanted to do. Sadly I had to come to the very hard decision to leave the profession. So when I came across Gympanzees whilst scrolling though my Facebook page. I watched a very engaging video from Radio Bristol. It highlighted the fantastic work Gympanzees were currently doing and what they were hoping to achieve in the future. This is to ensure that every disabled child and young person could access play, build friendships and exercise.
